The Brief

TipMan Tips, a sports betting subscription platform, needed to make organic search a sustainable, revenue-driving channel. Existing traffic sources had become unreliable, organic traffic showed low engagement and weak conversion, and the site’s long tail content model was non-existent.

Toucan International was brought in to deliver a full SEO, Digital PR, and CRO retainer, but the scope quickly expanded into a comprehensive digital transformation. We overhauled product structure, subscription models and site UX to improve commercial performance alongside organic visibility, turning TipMan into a search-first, trust-led platform built for sustainable growth.

How We Turned Performance

Full-Site Overhaul

We realigned TipMan across four integrated pillars — technical foundations, content helpfulness, intent alignment, and trust and E-E-A-T — to match how Google now evaluates quality, trust, and usefulness.

The transformation went beyond typical SEO. We rebuilt the entire digital ecosystem, from how the site was crawled and indexed through to how users discovered, engaged with, and converted on every page.

We also re-designed the TipMan homepage from a single incentivised subscription funnel into an intent-led commercial entry point, with contextual upsell prompts, dedicated bookmaker offer space, and betslips embedded as natural commercial actions rather than forced interruptions.

  • Technical Foundations: In-depth technical SEO to support correct crawling, rendering, and indexing. Removed barriers preventing Google from reassessing the site and enabled visibility across emerging surfaces including LLMs and AI Overviews.
  • Content Helpfulness: Replaced thin, templated pages with depth-led, market-specific analysis. Introduced experience-driven, opinionated content written by fans for fans. Every page designed to answer a clear user question or decision point.
  • Intent Alignment: Clear separation between research, comparison, and commercial content. Rebuilt key landing pages including the homepage to reflect user intent. Removed misleading content paths that hurt trust and conversion.
  • Trust & E-E-A-T: Used Digital PR to build real brand authority, not just links. Embedded clear signals of expertise and lived experience. Strengthened the backlink profile through relevant, authoritative coverage.
